Uttarakhand to Push for Pending Asset Resolution: CM Dhami to Meet Yogi Adityanath Soon

Dehradun, Uttarakhand – The long-standing asset and liability disputes between Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh may finally see resolution. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh
Dhami is set to hold a crucial meeting with UP CM Yogi Adityanath to sort out the pending matters related to post-bifurcation division of government properties and responsibilities.
In a high-level review at the Secretariat, CM Dhami directed officials to follow up on issues where partial agreement had already been reached in the last inter-state discussions. He emphasized that any matters showing progress should be taken up with UP authorities to push for a timely solution.
Some progress has already been made:
Water sports activities have been approved in reservoirs and canals of Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar.
UP's Irrigation Department has cleared ₹57.87 crore in electricity dues.
UP Fisheries Corporation has paid ₹3.98 crore to Uttarakhand’s Fisheries Development Agency.
Partial payments have also been made towards Forest Development Corporation and Transport Corporation dues.
Discussions on resolving housing-related property matters under Awas Vikas Parishad are also underway.
Both states are expected to finalize remaining issues during the upcoming CM-level meeting.
