₹750 Crore Loan App Scam: CA Abhishek Agarwal Caught at Delhi Airport While Trying to Flee to Thailand

In a major breakthrough, Uttarakhand STF has arrested chartered accountant Abhishek Agarwal from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport just as he was about to flee to Thailand. Agarwal is accused of orchestrating a massive ₹750 crore fraud by running fake loan apps in collaboration with Chinese nationals.

Authorities revealed that Agarwal and his associate Ankur Dhingra, who was previously arrested from Gurugram, operated several shell companies. Many of these companies had Chinese co-directors. The siphoned money was mostly routed to China, raising serious international concerns.

A lookout notice had been issued against Agarwal after an FIR was registered in 2022. STF’s timely action prevented his escape and brought him into custody.
